If you're infected with Defense Center then you're in for a slower computer, a barrage of pop-ups, and a higher chance of further virus infection. This particular spyware can take control of your PC by making it impossible to open programs, and can also redirect your internet searches. The end goal of such spyware is to steal your personal information and get you to spend your money on bogus software. We must remove Defense Center before it causes irreparable harm.
This virus is a carbon copy of two previously released spyware programs, Protection Center and Data Protection. It installs itself through a Trojan and puts you at further risk of a worse virus when the next big one comes around. For this reason, I always have an active scanner when I'm using the internet or downloading files, and it's why I recommend the same to friends and family.
So how do we uninstall Defense Center?
A defense center removal doesn't need to be like solving a Rubik's cube. If you are a PC technician, or are comfortable editing a PC registry, then you can consider manually removing the virus. It involves editing DLL and LNK files in your HKEY_USERS and HKEY_CURRENT_USER folders. A full file listing can be found on my website, but the idea is that you must block all related files in your registry, on your hard drive, and block all related processes.
Because of the small margin for error, I recommend automatic removal. I use it myself because it saves time, money and energy. It's much easier to click once and have the problem solved.
Additionally, a robust antispyware/antivirus program will also protect a user while they surf the net, download files, and will act as a shield against future virus threats. It's worth it to protect your sensitive information, and keep hackers away from your bank account.
Are you tired of viruses ruining your PC and putting you at risk of identity theft? Remove Defense Center - start with a free scan of your system and put your worries to rest.
