Laptops Are No Longer Little Brothers

Laptops are portable computers called notebooks. Traditional desk top computers have many exterior components. Their various parts are; a keyboard, a mouse, a monitor, and other devices. On laptop computers, these features are built into one unit that is portable. Laptops are popular due to their versatility. They are small, lightweight, and have enhanced performance capabilities.

A while ago, if you needed a computer that did it all, your only choice was a desk top computer. Today, all of this is available in one small unit. Laptops are as powerful as their desktop counterparts.

There was a time when notebooks were seen as little brothers to their desktop counterparts. They were good for word processing, web browsing and general computing, but hardly as powerful as a desktop model. This perception and reality has changed over the years as computer technology advanced. As their technology and abilities increased, their size and cost was decreasing.

Smaller size notebooks are very portable. This is a great advantage. It is notable that you can work or play on your laptop in any location you want to. In today's computer market, convenience and power are the main goals. Laptops fulfill this need admirably.
