Company Toshiba has within its Toshiba Europe GmbH has presented a new member of Satellite products: Satellite P500. With large 18.4-inch screen, embedded TV tuner, internal TV-card, program for resolution converting Resolution+ the new Satellite P500 notebook is one of a kind and a leader in computer entertainment.
When designing the new notebook the key concept was to use high definition HD display which is displayed with 18,4-inch LCD TruBrite screen with 16:9 ratio and resolution of 1680 × 945 or 1920 × 1080. Laptop Satellite P500 is equipped with a Blu-Ray ReWritable drive, stereo speaker system from Harman Kardon and high definition multimedia interface HDMI which enables fast multimedia data transfers between the laptop and another HDMI device for instance television.
Thanks to REGZA-Link multimedia interface technology for high definition consumer electronics control the new Satellite P500 notebook can be handled with remote control. Eight buttons that respond to touch allows direct access to important functions and to Toshiba Eco Utility device which simplifies and helps reducing the energy consumption. Satellite P500 is also equipped with a full-size keyboard with numeric keypad and a mouse plate which can manage multiple simultaneous touches.
Laptop will run with the latest Intel Core 2 Duo and offer up to 8 GB DDR2 memory and will support up to two hard drive devices with capacity of up to 1 TB. For enhanced graphics it will use NVIDIA graphics.
External devices can be connected via three USB 2.0 ports or through a eSATA device which supports USB charging for mobile devices even when the laptop is turned off. Express Card slot, port 5 in 1 Bridge Media slot, S / P-DIF. The connectivity options for will also be increased by FireWire.
